I spoke with Mario by phone today. He's in my area, and I'm scheduled to stop by a week from today when he's going to do a photo shoot of the first production models. If anyone has any questions about these segseats, let me know and I'll be happy to relay them.

(I want to emphasize that he has said that deliveries will occur in March despite what you've read above. Do not misconstrue my above statement to mean that the segseat could be available sooner...there has been numerous delays so far.)

From my discussion with Mario, he's indicated to me shipment dates and sizes, so everything I've heard so far indicates to me that this will be a viable and well supported product (and a very nice accessory too)! This isn't some guy in a garage welding together something one at a time as orders come in.

I assume he won't run the credit card until ship date, correct?

Glad he has them out into the marketplace, I saw them at SegwayFest - NH & DC and they looked like they would be very helpful to those that need them.

Very well designed and well made items.

Most of the time I won't need the thing, and I do want to see what turns are like with a little speed on. Could be iffy without being able to throw those hips into a turn.

Will be nice on those days that this broken body needs all the help it can get.

Having used the prototype, i would recommend against high speed turns while on the seat... it feels like it actually swings you out the other way.

As I said above I thought that would be an issue.

It will make a nice spot to rest my brain for a few min. on a long day !!!

In a straight line, it would be cool... My commute included 3 miles down the beach bike path, and for that it would work great. I just did not like the feel of turns on it. Others that tried it found it lots of fun. Up to the rider i guess

Mario has let us know shipping will be in march. We will let you know what we think.

I was suppose try out the segseat last week, but Mario had to delay the photo shoot where I was going to personally look at the product. Since the product is going to be at my local segway dealership in a few weeks, I'll take a look at it there instead.

Sorry I couldn't give you guys some feedback before you buy. Mario did say that more than a few segway dealers were getting the segseat in early March (at the same time as the initial units are sent to the first buyers over the web). So you might hold off on buying for a few weeks if you feel you need to touch it and tweak it in person before buying.

That's OK Tarkus..Same as I would of posted..I.m down in Florida at the moment (Visit with Family)and I'm just as happy that it won't arrive till mid march as no one will be there to accept the delivery..And I sure don't want it to go back and have to be resent..Wish I had brought my seg with me
