Segway Financing now available in the Middle East

Slightly OT but applicable.

After an difficult uphill struggle, we have finally been able to launch a financing scheme for buyers who wish to purchase their very own HT. This financing, done through Emirates Bank International, will provide the users with the ability to "buy and glide over time" and will be both conventional and Sharia (Islamic) law compliant.

Good for you Steven! I'm sure you found the same thing that we have, there
are a lot of people that need/want a Segway, and just can't come up
with that kind of cash in a lump sum. Financing makes the dream a reality for
them. I know you have "unique" issues that necessitate jumping through more hoops than
usual, and I applaud you for going the extra mile (or miles in this case) in the interests of customer
service.

Those not in the business have no idea how much hassle is involved getting a financing program set up
(been there, done that, have the T-shirt!). It's not readily apparent, nor is the fact that it often
costs the dealer money on each sale, rather than putting additional return in their pockets. We do it
because our customers are the life-blood of our businesses, without you the wonder that is the Segway
won't flourish. Without dealers like Segway of UAE willing to go that extra mile, you're satisfaction in
service would be diminished, and that would not be a good thing.

Thanks for the kind words. It has been a struggle. More than 6 banks turned us down (I lost count) and in the end it was a stroke of good luck that made it happen this soon.

We have found quite a few people who would buy but only with financing so this should turn to be very good for us.
