You don't realize how fast you are going until...
Your wheel rubs against a stationary object - ouch! Went down on my elbow/butt. My elbow's ok, but my Seg isn't.
I broke the collar piece that holds my 25.0 bag bracket to the CS. Here are the pics:

1) Can I buy a replacement part from INC and how much does it cost?
2) Can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative?
Too bad the collar doesn't tighten directly onto the screw from the other side, then I wouldn't need to replace this part.
Well, it's my first broken boo boo for my Seg. It's not new anymore... :(
TIA!

If it's possible to reglue you could try a product called Gorilla Glue. I reglued a door clip on my motorhome, and it held long enough to order a replacement.

If the glue doesn't work out you might consider this.

I was going to suggest a carriage bolt, two washers and a wingnut, but then I realized you probably need to put the bracket rods back into the bracket holder.
In this image then ends of the bracket rods are green. The white object is a zip-tie. You might want to use a different color zip-tie to avoid clashing with the HT. I just drew it white for visibility.
You might want to put on more than one zip-tie, if there's space.
Good luck.
P.S. I've not seen one of these (bag bracket assy.) dissassembled in person, so I apologize in advance if my idea is impractical.

Jennifer,
I believe that is the Lower Cargo Clamp and, if so, it is PN 1689000001. Can't tell you what the dealers in the US would charge but it is a part available to order from Inc.

Your local Segway dealership might have a pot of assorted spare parts.

The price list from last July does list part number 1689000001. The suggested retail price is $22.00.

Don't under estimate the strength of a good cable lock (ziptie). I broke a corner piece on my Ezup awning and had the large size ziptie on it all winter until I took it down in the spring (it covers my hotttub in the winter).

The answer is GORILLA GLUE.
1. Read the instructions!
2. Use a WET Paper Towel to clean/moisten both surfaces which you
plan to glue. The glue reacts with the water to make an expanding
foam.
3. Keep a closewatch over the expanding foam so that it does not GROW
into any spaces where you don't want it.
4. Over a period of a couple of hours the glue will quit expanding.
Use a toothpick or other small, pointed object to scrape away any
excess foam while it is still pliable.
5. Gorilla Glue will set up in about three (3) hours and cure in 24.
When completely cured it is waterproof. It is hard and may be sanded or scraped to final configuration. GG dries a white/ivory color which can be covered up with a permanent BLACK MARKER.
When wet, this stuff is STICKY! and will get everywhere. Use over newspaper. It is the very devil to get off your fingers. Do not let it leak on the counter top, tile surfaces or CARPETS.

Thanks for the tips (especially about how to use Gorilla Glue). I think I'll use a zip tie for right now. Then decide if I need to buy a replacement part.
Thanks!!!
