I am pretty sure that it is out there, but it is a huge file, like 180 mb.

Does the safety video still come on VHS - or do the i180's come with DVD?

-

To segue, or not to segue, that is the question.

Nope, the i180s come with VHS, and it's the same video, no model updates in the video, etc... no mention of Battery maintenance either. I thought there would be a change or update at least.

Yep it does, Since Sal is saying it doesn't, I assume it's not everywhere. But I received a DVD with the video in English, German and French. It could be that they only use the DVD for Europe.

I did the conversion at one point and put it on a disk in a Quicktime format.
Problem is that I don't know where it's at.

You'd figure they'd at least get a multilingual DVD out to the dealers running tours. That would be soo cool to show the safety video to tour participants in their native language!

At the next segfest, the DVD would make a really cool door prize.

Florin, is the content of DVD the same as the VHS tape? Did it come with a Segway purchase?

As far as I know the content is the same. It was included with the Segway I bought.

If you tell me how (which free software to use, how to do it, etc.) I don't mind to make a dutch audio track for the DVD/Video.

U guess that we need to have the original audio track without the voice to maintain the background music.

Florin, if you have a Mac, or access to a Mac, you can use Apple's free iMovie to extract the audio, and dub your own language into it. I doubt that the music is important, you can easily splice together the music only parts elevator music style guitar and drum kit that used in the video, no one will notice.

You'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the results.

Let me know if you can work on a copy of iMovie, and I'll give you some cursary steps on how to get started, but the program is pretty intuitive and self explanatory.

This is a little off topic but ....
I was successful in downloading the english training flick using quicktime pro and audio and video work fine on my Mac. Now i want to get them into my new video ipod. I tried exporting it to both ipod movie and mp4 using the quicktime pro export command. When I suck it into itunes (add to library) and try to get it over to my ipod, the video comes in fine but there does not seem to be an audio track. I have been searching through the help files and can't find out what I am doing wrong? Anyone have an idea? I want to be able to show someone the video when I am doing demos to people who are really really interested. The new video ipod is technology as impressive as the HT itself! I still don't see how they were able to create either of those magical things - but I love owning and using them!

Thanks Sal for the offer, I don't have a Mac yet, I'm tired enough of Windows, but I want to wait buying a Mac until the intel version of the powerbooks are available.

When I have some spare time, I will see if I can rip the movie from my own DVD and use it in a windows video tool.

The only question is, how can we make a DVD out of it with multiple audio tracks. ofcourse we can place another movie on a DVD, so that we end up with 4 movies on it, but I rather would like to only add an extra audio track to the english movie, will save some disk space on the DVD.

Perhaps we can find more people wo don't mind to do a translation, that would be fun.
