Check out these item numbers and if you agree please can we all contact Ebay ASAP. These scams are giving the SELLING of Segways a bad press (phraseology amended after Sal noticed the original said something else!!)

There is one for sale in Nottingham UK but I have met the guy and he DOES sell Segways.
Segway - LITERALLY revolutionising my life!
Gaye, I don't think the items are giving Segway bad press, though I did email eBay with a couple of auctions which I thought were suspicious.
I think people know not to blame the manufacturer of the product in a suspect eBay auction for the seller's misdeeds.

Sorry Sal. I phrased it badly! I suppose what I meant is that it is giving the PURCHASE and SELLING of Segways an air of dodginess and that will have a knock on effect on genuine sellers. Obviously anyone with any intelligence wouldn't blame the manufacturers for Ebay scams.

Apologies for my misinterpretation... You're right, though, Gaye. . . Genuine sellers will have a tougher and tougher time finding buyers as long as all these scams go unchecked.

As PT Barnum said...there is a fool born every minute and somewhere out there is a con man waiting to take advantage of them.
No matter how aware we are of the segway scams, there will be somebody who will want a "good deal" and somebody willing to help him / her part with their money.
We can try to stem the tide but it s doubtful we will ever stop it all together.
