View Full Version : article: february segway ht travel thoughts...
february is black history month- it also contains groundhog day, valentine's day and presidents' day. this is also the month when some people are getting their required training for their segway ht.
here are a few thoughts and reports to kick off the month from my travels.

PT - interesting description of your travels. Thanks for the updates.
Here is another statistic I would be interested hearing about.
Airanna (sp?)Huffington claims that driving a SUV helps to promote terrorism by funding the Middle Eastern oil barons. Based on the miles per gallon performance of the vehicle you replaced with your HT, how many gallons of gas do you think you have prevented the Middle Eastern countries from selling to the US?
I would love to use this argument with the Sidewalk Segregationist:
Them: The Segway is not safe on the sidewalks.
Me: Yeah, well I'm not buying gas for my Segway so I am actually making the nation safer by reducing the amount of available money oil producing nations use to fund terrorist. We all have to make sacrifices in this time of war. Sharing the sidewalk is a small price to pay to save lives and promote freedom.
Not that I buy any of the arguments of the Social Chaos Theorists.

So did Space travel after Apallo. But for us, it proves that they (anti-segers) are wrong and other cool little features of the Segway.

I like John Stewart's arguement that hybrid cars only support terrorism when travelling uphill.
