Would a person six and a half feet tall be able to use a Segway and be comfortable? Are they made for people this tall?
Thanks
Jason

Sure, the handlebar extends up.

jasonir, i gather u are thinking of use in areas with low lying branches, sign-posts, inside of buildings, with low ceilings etc. Obviously that could be a "headheach" for a person needing primarily to use the Segway in such places.

Ask Brooster, he's about 6'5" and he's done some gliding. But I'm sure if you extend the control shaft you will have no problem. I'm only 6' even.

Based on my experience giving demo rides, someone 6'6" might be a little more likely to get some exaggerated "beginner's oscillation" than someone shorter. Other than that (and the difficulty with low hanging obstacles, being 7'2" given the platform height), it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Someone that tall should definitely be wearing a helmet, due to the doorway height issues...

People that tall are also used to having to duck more often than us shorter folk.

Yes, but folks that tall also have learned where and when they have to duck. Being suddenly 8" taller changes the "ducking map", and the consequences of forgeting to duck are pretty gnarly. It's gonna be bad when you "know" that you don't have to duck in a given location, and forget that you're now even taller...
I would imagine that folks who are in the 6' to 6'4" range are going to have some ducking issues as well. We're not used to ducking through doors, but are going to have to remember to when we're on our Segways. This is why I wear my helmet even (especially!) inside... ;>

Jason, I think you'll be just fine at 6'6". You may find yourself wishing the control shaft could extend by just another inch or so, but it shouldn't be a problem at all.
Pretty darn close G-Master, I'm 6'4-1/2, :)
