I have a lithium ion segway that is six weeks old. The green light on the right never goes into flashing mode. It is always charging. This has been going on for about a week. Now, when I take it out in the morning, I get stick shake, a frown and it shuts off.

I assume that the charger is overheating the batteries. The dealer I bought it from has been unable to get Segway on the phone since last Friday. I tried today and sure enough the phone system just goes around in circles. Any ideas on what to do?...

Send an email and try to call again later.
Segway service is superb, no worries, they will take care of you.

The Segway folks were likely tied up with the SegFest in Washington over the weekend. It does sound like a battery problem, and they will look after you, as Jeff said

I got really good service at Segway of Orange County, California (where I bought the XT). They replaced the battery on and tested it for a day, then gave it back to me.

I'm really glad I bought from a local dealer instead of trying to get one over the Internet. I'm a very happy Segway customer...

Since they tested and returned the battery to you, the problem must have been in the charger circuit. Did they tell you anything about the cause?
Glad it is working fine now![/:)]
