I am thinking about buying a segway i167 for $3,000 new in its origanial box. Is that too much or a good price for a i167? It is from a authorized segway dealer. I also have questions about using it in my neborhood. I don't need it, I can walk anywhere in my town. But what do you think about buying one. Is it worth it? just for fun. Or will I use it for one month then leave it in my basement for the rest of the time. Are the people who have one happy with it? Does it break often?
Thaks,

Hmmmm... based on all the mis-spellings, the user info, and the comments like "I don't need it" this post may be a "troll," but I'll play along and pretend it's for real.
1. "... segway i167 for $3,000 new in its origanial box. Is that too much or a good price for a i167?"
-Buying from an authorized dealer is good and the price is fine. The batteries may not be happy if they sat in a box for a year or more.
2. "I don't need it, I can walk anywhere in my town. But what do you think about buying one. Is it worth it? just for fun. Or will I use it for one month then leave it in my basement for the rest of the time."
-In my opinion, if you don't need it, it's not likely you'll use it.
3. "Are the people who have one happy with it? Does it break often?"
-"Yes, happy" and "No, doesn't break."

Batteries previous to Lithium usually came separate from the box. Correct procedure is for the dealer to charge 12 hours every 30 days on the offboard. This keeps nickel fresh indefinitely.
As far as not needing. All it takes is a need or a desire. If you have the money it is great for the fun. Many people who don't need a Segway have one.

Hey I am a terrible speller too! - so let's roll with it...
You don't need it, but you did not say you wanted it either. Is it too much money... My thought on that is if you have shopped for one, you know the prices Dealers are doing deals, we saw that at fesT... So if you have 3 grand, and are willing to part with it for a new machine, maybe not the latest model, then do it... I hear Segway of Cleveland has some good deals, so check them out as well, they extended their speicial deal until 10/15.
Are you willing to put out the three grand for something that you don't need? If so buy one, if not, keep walking!
Of course once you get an HT, you will never know how you lived with out it, and you will be going places you NEVER walked to before.
You say you will use it for one month, and then leave it in the basement. I think NOT! an HT becomes part of you, one of the family, it ends up in the back of the car when you go on trips, and you are always looking for a place to glide too.. If you do leave it in the basement, make sure you leave it plugged in, and on a GOOD surge protector, as the batteries don't like not being not used and not charged.
Only those who buy toys, use them once and never use them again, are not happy with it. Those of us who use our HT's daily love them... I have two I-167's and as much as I would love a new one, I love the HT's that I have.
And do they break often? - HEY THERE you must be thinking about a Q.... Well maybe you should save 2900 bucks and go to pepboys and buy a Q!
Get off the stick and buy that puppy!
