The Simpsons reference

Just happen to catch the Simpsons last night and the thought occurred to me, when might we see a pop culture reference on the Simpsons? No less than 5 minutes later, as Homer was watching the news the anchor reported the story something like, "Segway accident leads to 1000 killed..." I think the episode was new, but if not, forgive the duplicate post.

I caught that too, it was the episode where Marge gets breast implants by mistake, it aired late last year, I had missed it the first time around. It was pretty funny. The SHT reference was a real bonus, I think someone on the show is on our side and wanted to show how some of the media commentaries are so ridiculus!

This is actually one of two Segway references in the Simpsons. The other reference was in an entirely different episode and has Dr. Hibbert riding one that he stole during a riot.... or something like that. I think it has been discussed in this forum previously,

Anybody remember the episode name?

I think it was called 'Papa's got a new badge' and was the one where Homer becomes head of the police dept. Dr. Hibbert rode off on one in that episode.
