Oregon/Washington Glide!

Howdy!
Our next easy glide will be along the Columbia River (Washington side) Sunday, September 25th.

It can be as long or as short as you wish it to be. There are several restaurants we could stop at for coffee or food. Beaches is just one of the good ones.

Meeting time will be 12:30 at the little parking area next to (east of) Who-Song and Larry's Restaurant. I would take I-5 to Hwy 14 East and exit at the first exit (Columbia Way) and then head back west on the side road to the parking lot just east of the restaurtant area.

Just checked the current weather forecast and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day (sunny, high of 78 degrees)!

Six Oregon/Washington Segway owners had a wonderful glide along the beautiful Waterfront Renaissance Trail. The 14-foot-wide, shared-use concrete trail provided spectacular views of dozens of sailboats on the Columbia River and easy access to Beaches Restaurant for a delicious lunch. The glide wrapped up with a visit to the oldest apple tree in the Northwest!
