I am using a i167 as a mobility aid and planning to visit Shenandoah National Park in late Oct. Any suggestion on trails I could handle with enhanced traction tires. My wife is always concerned I might be able to get in but getting out might be another story or she is afraid of a malfunction. I find the i167 very reliable and it has managed to navigate any surface I have tried. My battery range is about 10 miles. Also any sites outside the park that I might glide.

Thanks

Tom

I wouldn't worry about a malfunction--although if you break something or your batteries die or if the system needed to shut down, you could get stranded :) That's all very unlikely, as long as you watch your battery gauge.

There is one ADA accessible trail in the park: http://www.nps.gov/shen/pphtml/accessibility.html
Beyond that your best bet is to contact the park directly at http://www.nps.gov/shen/pphtml/contact.html or 540-999-3500.

Generally the NPS is pretty restrictive of wheeled devices on its trails. But every park Superintendent calls the shots on his turf, so its worth asking.
