The Red Cross recently set up housekeeping near a station on a subway line that goes right near the Fest venue, so there should be quite a flock of Segway enthusiasts from Louisiana and Mississippi.

Programs and Presenters will be great. Even Better than that... But what you come to a SegwayFest is, THE PEOPLE, Other Segway users like you!

Welcome Reception at the newest Capital Segway Location on Friday Night will be wonderful, as will the glides and the dinner.

So come on into town.

For those still on the fence, we still have a very (very) small number of rooms left for Friday and Saturday nights at the $170 rate, so let me know if you want one. First come First Served.. Once they are gone, no more!

no brakes... no gyro's, lots of scrapes..

No, it's my i167, with V1 front bezel, V1 mat, V1 wheels (yep, I finally found my other set this week :D), V1 grips, V1 fenders.

I love the old-look!

Well ... maybe ... maybe not.

One thing's for certain, Will. You personally have done a heck of a job of "doing us proud." I think I can probably speak for all of us in Chicago in offering a hearty congratulations to all who have organized what looks like a great event. Maybe the best yet.

Been there and done that, Jonathan! I'm still somehow on my "free" replacement kickstand, installed with the kind help of the GlideMaster back in 2003. The trick with the kickstands (aside from the challenge of keeping people from standing on your machine while it's parked) is to not "kick" the lever forward. It eventually weakens and breaks the little "L" shaped metal piece. I always reach down and deploy it by hand now, and it's been fine.

I really wanted to come but it just happens that I'm right in the middle of moving and and going to a new school and have way too much to do. The NH fest was awesome though and Dean's house and polo were wicked fun. I hope I can get to the first '06 Segfest.
