I'm interested in selling my car and buying a segway to go the 6 miles a day I put on going to and from work. Problem is I live in cold, icy, snowy New Hampshire at the top of a 400 yd very steep hill. Just wondering can a Segway handle a year round commute such as this.

Sharon,
Welcome! I ride almost every day, year round, and I'm in Western Canada. As long as you've charged your batteries inside where it's warm and you start out with a warm machine, you're only issue will be traction ( or lack thereof) What kind of surface is the hill? Dirt, gravel, ashphalt?

The XT with the off-road tires will handle a lot, as will the enhanced traction tires. If you're serious about being in bad conditions, Zorba's (a member of this board) tires with studs are the answer.
