I can no longer view the Segway ad on Amazon... could the sale be finished?
interesting... someone has a Segway advertised for sale in the Amazon Zshops for (get this) $4950 plus $2,000 s/h and says will ship international. I guess Segway attorneys have work to do this week.
Boy, you are quick. The icon is still there in the upper left hand corner of the main page, http://www.amazon.com but if you click on it,
the next page says,
"ASIN B00007EPJ6 does not exist in our catalog. Would you like to try your search again?"

I've got to tell you- that stinks! Maybe Amazon is having a problem with being in the middle of a dubious delivery schedule....

Or maybe not... I'm still pulling up the Segway promotion on Amazon.

The Amazon sale is still advertised at Segway LLC's site, but when you click on the link there, you get an Amazon message saying: "The file you requested could not be found." It's either some sort of problem at Amazon (which I'm guessing is the case), or the sale really is over.
Paging Jgrohol! :)

It is there for me, but we've seen before that my pages persist longer than others (my IE is not caching). So, I clicked to add it to the cart, and that also worked. Odd that they would remove it from the catalog but still be able to add it to the cart. Time will tell.

It's working for me. Maybe one of Amazon's mirrors is down. I'm sure if they were discontinuing selling them, they would have a better page than an error code, and would remove the link from their main page.

Well, we don't know that it's "dubious" yet ... let's give 'em the benefit of the doubt here. It kinda sounds like we'll start to see those training e-mails going out in the next few days.

For those unable to see the product from the icon link, try searching on "B00007EPJ6".
Let's not jump to conclusions too fast.
As it happens, yesterday morning http://www.register.com
allowed to register ****.org domains, which were still valid
for a couple of years. At least they would have accepted your
credit card number ... They changed that quickly but I wonder what
happens to those whose site got re-registered or who registered
valid ****.org names during that interim period.

Okay, it just came up for me straight from Segway LLC's link. False alarm, I guess! :)

Amazon must be reading this board too. It comes up now
properly with the Segway product page if you click on the Segway ad in the upper left corner of their main Web site.
Weekend website backup and redesign does that to you [B)]

Was there always a $99 ground shipping charge($150 outer states) with the Segway Amazon page? I thought delivery was free if a certain amount of money was spent.

Nope. As you know, this isn't your regular Amazon deal, Blink. The shipping charge has been in effect and clearly stated since "day one," 11/18/02.

Segway LLC ships the Segway, thus chargin whatever they want. If Amazon shiped them from it's store, it would give free shipping (mabey.....)

As an early thirty, I paid the $99, and was glad to do it! <G>
