Please join us for a Sunday Glide through Washington Park's Rose Garden, through the neighborhoods of Northwest Portland and down to the Pearl District, ending near Jamison Square Fountain. Lunch and/or ice cream at Nina's Place in the Pearl is also a great option!

(This glide is almost entirely downhill!)

The weather is beautiful and it should be a fun day. We will meet in the Rose Garden at 11:00am. There is usually plenty of parking just around the corner between the tennis courts and the Japanese Garden on SW Kingston Avenue. (Click for a Google Map.) (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=611+SW+Kingston+Avenue+Portland,+Oregon&spn=0.006127,0.015044&hl=en
)

At the end I can drive some people back to the Rose Garden to get their cars while the rest stay with the Segs at Nina’s Place (Jamison Square).

Please let me know as soon as possible if you can join us.

Well, eight of us had a great time Sunday! Nelda, Jerry, Craig, Peggy, David, Ruth, Ted and I started from the beautiful Washington Park Rose Garden and spent the next several hours gliding, learning interesting facts about our city (Thank you David!), and eating. The original plan had been to glide to the Pearl District and then shuttle drivers back to get their cars to pick up Segways. We decided to glide back to the starting point and we almost made it! Two machines ran out of juice just yards from the parking area! What to do?? Well, use Segway tow trucks, of course! Please check out some of our pictures in Red Seg's Photo Album (http://segwaychat.com/forum/photo_album_view.asp?cname=Park+to+Pearl+Glide&mid=3604&cid=7792).

There are 2 ways, Ben. One is to click on Members, and then go to the bottom of the page and search by state. The other is to just hang out and watch the events forum, because they'll post the event here.
