...you should see what happens with two! :) This morning, I was gliding to a meeting in another building, and happened to run into Agbaar gliding into work...at the same building.

On the way over, we agreed that you become much more aware of just how bad most sidewalks are, and *very* appreciative of nice smooth wide sidewalks. And lets not even get started on curbcuts...

Well, maybe we should talk about curbcuts. I suspect that when the Segway really takes off, one of the side benefits for the wheelchair community is going to be a much larger group of people lobbying for better wheel-ways for the wheeled pedestrian.

Hiya Jane! I think you're right ... the HT will almost certainly have a positive impact on awareness of access for the handicapped.

I had a highly skeptical Planner suggest to me that Segway would promote additional ADA compliant curb cuts which would benefit everyone. Sidewalks and trails benefit everyone as well.

The first thing I noticed on my HT was how sidewalk squares tip side-to-side...causing a lateral shifting of the handlebars. Takes some getting used to. We need an urban model next...with knobby tires and full suspension!
