Man, pt. This kid's a teenage version of YOU! Right down to the Segway!

Read his site, this guy's a one-man rennaissance, and he's about 15 years old!

Great find, Bruce!

Too bad Aaron only had use of the Segway for a week.

I am unable to view the video.

The QT icon comes up but then fails.

Is anyone able to save the file after viewing it?

Maybe it can get placed on this site for everyones viewing pleasure!

A fine piece of film making.

Well, he did say that everything on his site can be copied without his permission, him being a Creative Commons person. I have downloaded the file, but I don't know how to upload it to this site.

Oh, for those that can't see it, imagine a Segway news video as made by a 15-year old member of Monty Python.

Here is what this teenager said in his last posting on Segway:

quote:Well, it's almost time to return the Segway and we've all but lost interest in it. Working on the movie kept us going for a little while longer but since I posted it the Segway has pretty much stayed in its place in the corner, off. I think we've explored everything there is to do with it, and now it's just uninteresting.

It's not like we have much of a practical use for it, especially not now. It's so cold and snowy outside that every time we go out we have to suit up in so much clothing that we'd be protected from a nuclear blast. And it's not like we have anyplace to go: everything.s closed for Xmas and school's out.

Ouch! Remeniscent of the story "The Emperor's New Clothes"

I would have expected the youngsters would be more enthralled than the adults.

I think it has more to do with his area and the fact that he's learning to drive a car. The novelty of a car, and the functions of a back seat, must outweigh any usefulness of a Segway to a 15-year-old boy!

I'm 15 as well, and anywhere I need to go is easily within Segway distance. Not having to pay for gas is also a big plus. My parents arn't convinced, however...

As a Segway owner...and someone who works in television...my hat's off to Aaron! Great job.

Neither are mine. They also don't want to get me a PowerBook when I go to collage, so I don't have much working with me here. ;)

Just for the record, I'm 16. Stupid driving laws......

I was thinking about this oldie but goodie for some reason ... decided I'd see if I could find it using our search feature. I did, it's still there, and it still makes me laugh.
