Need SoCal Segway Polo players!

The San Diego Polo Club in San Diego/Del Mar, California is interested in hosting a Segway Polo demonstration game at one of their Sunday polo events. I’m recruiting Segway Polo players (or Segway HT riders who’d like to be Segway Polo players) to participate in the demonstration game.

I’ll provide polo mallets and equipment. The San Diego Polo Club will provide complimentary tickets to the Segway Polo players who participate. All you need is a Segway HT (i Series preferred), a helmet and a competitive spirit!

San Diego Polo Club would like to schedule the demonstration for the afternoon of Sunday, August 28th between 2:30 and 3 p.m.

Depending on interest and skill level we can get together before the demonstration for drills and practice. Maybe this will be the start of a San Diego Segway Polo team!

I've got it on my calendar! I got a chance to play in Sacramento, and would love to play again.
Is this going to be a full game, or just a couple of demo rounds. Would it be played before or after a regular polo match? I don't think i'd play as hard after a match for fear of falling ;)

I spoke with Carla at the store opening in Newport Beach, and it looks like it may not be a full seg polo game, just some fun exibition rounds between two regular games. If there are any XTs out there that would like to atttend but don't have a yellow key, I can make/convert a yellow key for you at the game.

Carla's still looking for 3-5 more players....

Hey David,
Our Bay Area team is about to place a batch order for some SegPolo mallets, but we're a few short to place the order (minimum qty). If any of you would like to buy SegPolo length mallets (40"), let me know and we can place a group order.

They cost $30 + shipping.
regular or light-weight head (I recommend the lighter head).
