And congrats to Troy, too, that was quite a showing for someone who was not as well known as Karl.

It looks like Will, Fred, Joanne, and Alex got almost everyone's vote. I guess there were a few "conscientous objectors" in there or something, but with only 138 or so people voting, that's not too bad.

What was the total vote count, by the way?

Congratulations to everyone, including Troy who cared enough about SA to step into the ring and run for office.

137 SA members cared enough to vote. Some of those folks must have felt that since it was not a horse race why bother to vote for those running unopposed!

And we have about 400 members from last I heard, so that is interesting that just over 1/4 cared enough to vote. I hope we can get them excited in the next year to have more members vote in the next election.

I thank all those that voted, and those that voted for me. I know we have a great deal of potential in this group, and this year we will do what we can to build on the successes of last year and get even more excitement going...

I want to send a special appeal to Troy. I want to keep a dialoge open, you seem to have some great ideas and I'd like to get your take on things...

Well, we are in for a great ride. Some chores to do and lots of fun ideas on the horizon... Next year we will have even more members and a higher percentage that want to stay involved... That is one of my goals, at least...

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR CANDIDATES IN OUR SEGAMERICA ELECTIONS.

I AM EXCITED, AS I AM SURE MANY OTHERS ARE AS WELL, TO SEE WHAT NEW VENTURES AND ADVENTURES, WE AS SEGAMERICA, WILL DEVELOP AND WHERE THIS DEDICATED AND TALENTED NEW ADMINISTRATION CAN AND EVENTUALLY WILL TAKE US. ALSO, A VERY HEARTY JOB WELL DONE, STAN AND ALL THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR ALL IN THE PRIOR ADMINISTRATION.

WELL DONE, NOW LET'S ROLL FORWARD……..oI...oI……..ol (segway symbols)

By the way, did you know that on August 5, 1884, the cornerstone for the Statue of Liberty was set in place. And on August 5th, 221 years later we lay another cornerstone with this election.

WITH HIGHEST REGARDS TO ALL,

Is this the official communication channel between SEG AM and the members?

Is anything happening?

Could we get a statement or review of accomplishments from the last board?
Financials?
Is the new board forming policy, having regular meetings?
Has anyone been chosen to work on the By Laws?

I suggest a LIVE CHAT, right here, 9pm.EST., Thursday.

The Executive Commitee of SEG America is still in the "Transfer of Power" mode, a State of the Union message will be forth coming from the board before SegwayFest DC, and at SegwayFest DC there will be a SEG America Roundtable where a good number of the elected board will be in attendance, and be able to share with the membership about the organization.

Since we have yet to complete a full year of operation (fiscal year) financials will not be available until the end of the first year of operation. (SA actually is in very good finacial shape to be honest, especially for a newly formed group - Fred will be at SFDC so that question can be answered then!)

A live Chat with the SA board will be planned soon, probably not before SegwayFest DC though!

Actually the "Official" communication site for SA is www.SEGAmerica.org - not SC - as SC is independant of SA!
