An interesting statistic I hadn't heard before:

quote:About 7 percent of Segways are used for sightseeing tours in areas such as Chicago and Pismo Beach, Calif., said Eric Fleming, a spokesperson for Segway LLC, based in Bedford, N.H.It's from this article:
http://www.duluthsuperior.com/mld/duluthsuperior/news/local/12168891.htm

I wonder if some of the segways counted in that statistic were originally purchased for segway tours, but have since been sold on the used market after tour businesses folded.

May all your days be Segway days!

I wonder how that compares to Auto sales ?

I also wonder what % of new small businesses (auto rental, Seg rental or otherwise) fail during their first year ?

Any statistician out there ?

The same article says that the Segway travels at 15 MPH.

Exactly what bits constitute 7% of a Segway? The right wheel and rubber mat perhaps? ;)

To segue, or not to segue, that is the question.
