Yesterday I glided 15KM (about 9.5 mile). LiIons were down one bar and second one blinking.
I was gliding on the yellow key at an average ambient temperature of 30 Deg centigrade (86F), on mostly flat terrain at close to speed limiter. My weight is 109Kg (240 lbs).
These batteries are awesome!

Don't let them out of your sight - I think there were folks thinking the word HIJACK in Manchester from the SEG bus to the many parked Segs in the hotel. Interesting, but I would bet out of the 100 or so HT's about only a handful would have been equiped with LiOns.

That's an awesome distance Yossi! Especially considering how much juice was left.
I get only 6 miles out of my old batteries (which were purchased just six months ago) and I'm the same weight as you.

Sailor,
Are you familiar with the process of "conditioning" the batteries. There are several posts on this topic you can search on here. I don't ride my Segways every day, but I still get 8-10 miles on them and they both are over 2 years old.

Thanks Les Willis, I've tried conditioning the batteries - that improves the range for a while but not for more than a week or two.
Not that it bothers me much, I only need to get 5 miles out of it daily. I'm curious though, how heavy are you Les? I've found that my fellow local Segway riders who are considerably smaller than me tend to get far better range.
I should probably have explained my riding habits further as they aren't optimal for the batteries:
It's averaging 96 degrees here during my homeward bound commute
I ride a 5 mile commute 5 days a week.
I am 250 - the official max weight.
It's a steady uphill ride on the way home.
If I don't charge the segway at work it will usually be down to 1 bar by the time I get home.
I don't bother to make any attempt to ride in a battery conserving manner as my batteries consistently get me home.

Sailor,
If your commute home is uphill then the way to work is down hill. It seems that if you charge at work then you will discharge on the way home and regenerate on the way to work.
This is almost as good as reconditioning.

Sailor./
I bought my seg about two months ago. A two year old one from Spain. I expected the batteries to be on their way out, but no, I can use it for a full round of golf on a hilly course and still have 30% to 50% left at the end, BUT I do completely discharge the batteries every week ( the day before it goes on the golf course. I now have another newer model but the batteries are not as good!
