My little town of Wilmington, Massachusetts will be celebrating it's 275th aniversary with a parade on September 18, 2005.

I thought it would be nice to have a contingent of segs to glide along. If we get together in advance, we might even be able to work up a few routines...

The parade is only about 2 miles long, and the start is less than 2 miles from my house, so the whole day will only be about 6 or 7 miles, max. It should be an easy day with current batteries or new style...

Please let me know if you would like to join this fun day. It is volunteer, just the opportunity for a shot at fleeting celebrity for a moment... Though I am sure we can likely get complementry fair cuisine. (Hot dogs and hamburgers)

Hi Karl:

Let me know if we can glide with you - I can probably round up some people - can I bring an XT for the parade? [:P]

Thanks loads for the comments.

I will definately make the committment to the organizers. I unfortunatly, I have only one machine, or I would be offering positions to people without.

Mary Beth, you are surely welcome. The more the merrier.

Kathryn, I will be in touch as the time gets closer. I may get requests that I can send toward you, or I may want to rent one myself for the Parade Grand Marshall. Thanks for your offer...

I wanted to thank all those that glode with me in the parade...

We had a good time, and the spectators loved it...

I have gotten a lot of very positive feedback, and everyone thought we had more segs than we did. I guess we make a big impression, and the fact that we were all over the place helped...

Again, thanks.
